About Greg
Greg Gilday is a dad, local small business owner, trusted attorney, and our best choice to represent our community in the legislature.
Greg Gilday was born in Stanwood and is the third generation of his family to practice law in the family firm. He grew up in cities throughout Washington and Southeast Alaska but came back to the Stanwood Camano area when it was time to start a family and a career. In addition to working as an attorney, Greg is a Realtor, small business owner, Director of a leading title and escrow company, and has a long record of volunteering in our community. He has also sat on the boards of the Safe Harbor Free Clinic, Stanwood Camano Food Bank, and the Stanwood Camano Rotary Club.
We elected Greg to the legislature in 2020, and he quickly became a leader in Olympia. Greg serves as the Ranking Member of the Housing, Human Services and Veterans Committee, the Assistant Ranking Member on the Civil Rights and Judiciary Committee, and is a member of the Rules and Capital Budget committees. He’s proud of his record working for housing, public safety, and preserving our natural environment.
Education has always been important to Greg and his family. His wife Megan most recently taught 2nd grade in Mount Vernon, and their two boys attend local public schools. Many locals remember his grandmother, Louise, who taught English to thousands of Stanwood students. Greg graduated from WWU and then earned his MBA and a law degree from Seattle University.
Greg and his wife Megan live on Camano Island with their two sons Laker and Graham. The family is active in the Stanwood Foursquare Church where they enjoy weekly services, youth groups, and yearly mission trips. They also enjoy skiing and cycling – most recently a cross country trip on their bikes.
